UPDATE: NC State will move from Condition 2 to Condition 1 at 10:00am on Tuesday, February 3rd, 2026. It is expected that the PDIC will be able to re-open at that time, but we would still encourage you to call first (see below) before coming, to verify that staff are present in the lab.

UPDATE: The PDIC will be closed on Monday, February 2, 2026, as NC State University continues on Condition 2, Suspended Operations.

Please check this page before bringing or shipping samples to the PDIC on the week of February 2, 2026. As of this writing (4:30pm on Friday January 30th), we do not know what impact this weekend's winter storm will have on our operations. In case of any doubt, please call us first at 919-515-3619 (disease line) or 919-515-9530 (insect line). Please note that the Turf Diagnostics Lab may operate on a different schedule than the main PDIC.
