Directions:
Important: Before heading to campus, please read the information labeled “Method 2: Bringing the sample to the PDIC” on our Packing and Shipping page.
We are located in 1227 Gardner Hall on the north campus of North Carolina State University. The street address is 100 Derieux Place. Note to GPS users: the entrances to north campus, closest to the clinic, are closed during the day. There are two routes you can take when coming to the clinic in person.
OPTION 1: VIA THE MAIN CAMPUS ENTRANCE NEAR THE BELLTOWER
- Take either Hillsborough St. or Western Blvd. to Pullen Road. Follow it to the small traffic circle about a block south of the Belltower.
- At the small traffic circle, go west on Stinson Dr. until you reach a closed gate.
- Request a 30-min loading permit at the information booth. Tell the attendant you’re dropping off a sample at the Plant Disease and Insect Clinic.
- Proceed west on Stinson Dr., which curves several times before dead-ending at Yarbrough Dr. Turn right on Yarbrough.
- Continue 500 ft. on Yarbrough Dr. and then turn right onto Derieux Pl. which ends in a small parking lot between Gardner and Williams Halls. Look for a 30-min loading space there.
- Enter the door to Gardner Hall at the north end of this parking lot and follow the signs to the PDIC.
- If you have a particularly large sample, come and ask us to help you bring it in.
OPTION 2: WALKING FROM THE DAN ALLEN PARKING DECK
- From Hillsborough St., turn south onto Dan Allen Dr.
(Note: the approach from Western Blvd. is closed from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.). - Turn right at the first traffic light, just before the railroad bridge.
- Proceed a few hundred feet to the credit-card-pay entrance to the parking deck, and park your vehicle.
- Gardner Hall is about 200 yards to the east of the parking deck.
Follow the walking route indicated by the yellow dots on the map.
