Physical samples for plant disease diagnosis originating within the continental U.S., but outside the state of North Carolina, can once again be submitted to the PDIC.
When sending, please enclose a copy of the first page of our USDA-APHIS permit. For more details about required packaging and shipping, please see our Out-of-State Samples page.
Very important: please also see our Contacts & Directions page, and update any saved addresses you have with UPS or FedEx, so that our new address is reflected.
Note that live arthropods (insects, mites) are still not permitted. These must be killed and sent in alcohol, or else submitted as photos.
The Turf Diagnostics Lab was not affected by the temporary suspension of out-of-state samples.
